The anodized aluminum frame and support bows make for a lightweight durable construction allowing the bows and cover to roll up together so you can quickly access the truck bed. The tapered edges along the cover make for a seamless hook and loop type sealing systems that is sewn right into the tarp. This help keep out most of the moisture and all dirt from entering into the truck bed. Along with this, the automatic tension system helps keep the tonneau cover tight on the truck bed. This system is much like the above mentioned TruXedo Lo-Pro.
Installation is very simple with the Extang Express roll-up cover using fast and easy to use clamps. There is no drilling or measuring required, all you need to do is match up the clamps with the holes and them onto the bed flange. - This is my third Extang product. They have a great product and stand by it. The Express goes over the rails and doesn’t obstruct the bed like in the rail covers — a big reason why I chose the Express. It installed in 20 mins with one person. One adjustment at the tailgate to straight out the tonneau and I was on my way. This product looks great and is one that has cross members in it to withstand New England winters. I would recommend any of the Extang products.
- Took about 15-20 minutes to install. Very easy. I did have to pull the cover a little be to one side after installing because the cover slides on the front and rear bar it’s attached to. But once I centered it, it has not moved. The reason I gave 4 stars on the appearance is only because while driving at highway speed the cover does vibrate in the wind (Does not cause any noise though). This is probably because the hook and loop doesn’t hold the cover quite as tight as a snap on and also because it has straight bars instead of bowed bars. But I think the straight, flat look of the cover looks better than the bowed covers. Also, the flat design does caused some water to build up when rained on. Not a big deal to me. Rolling the cover open and closed is very easy and takes up no space at the front of the bed, which is great because I need to fit my dirt bike all the way into the front corner. Also, very nice that you do not have to removed the bars like some covers.
- This Tonneau cover fits well and was easy to install on Tacoma 2003. It looks great and stays tight. It was shipped when they said it would and arrived the day they said it would. The tracking was also very easy to use. Had basic questions answered via online Chat session and the staff was very helpful.

Although the Extang Express Roll-up isn’t quite as popular as the best selling roll-up cover, it’s quality is right there with it and they are even nearly the same price.
